The 17th – 23rd February is Cyber Scotland Week 2020.

The week draws together events across Scotland to showcase the innovation taking place across the sector, while raising awareness of good cyber resilience practice and promoting a career within the industry. It brings together influencers, experts and the next generation of talent to explore and learn about the innovation and challenges in this fast-changing threat landscape.

Blue Rock Cyber Defence, part of NVT Group, was founded by Director Lorraine Mills in 2018. Lorraine and the team provide ethical hacking, cyber security services, and data protection solutions to businesses across Scotland.

In today’s digital age, the threat of cybercrime is fast-growing. Businesses of all sizes and sectors need to be vigilant and make cyber security a priority to protect their brand reputation, customers, staff and profits. With the introduction of GDPR in 2018, there is now a lot at risk if businesses aren’t on top of cyber security and data protection. There is a particular threat for small to medium sized businesses who tend to push cyber security to the bottom of the agenda.

“For small to medium sized businesses, the awareness of the techniques they have to put in place to reduce their risk of cyber attacks is really important and should be something they focus on throughout the year”

– Lorraine Mills, Director at Blue Rock Cyber Defence
