Blue Rock has been invited to speak about Cyber Security matters at an event hosted by ICAEW.

The event, which takes place on 4th September in Glasgow, is open to members of the ICAEW in Scotland and is one in a series which has been designed for sole practitioners and members working in smaller CA practices to share expertise and insights, as well as offer peer-to-peer support and learning.

Blue Rock‘s Managing Director, Lorraine Mills, will be speaking on the topic of “Can We Improve our Data?”

The ICO has powers to make businesses pay substantial fines if they are found to have processed personal data unlawfully.  Lorraine will speak about the different techniques that can be adopted to improve data processing and reduce the chances of a data breach by cyber criminals.  The session will cover areas such as Cyber Security & Data Protection and will help you to make sure that your data is collected, stored and processed in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Please keep an eye of the Blue Rock website and our Twitter page for pictures from the event.
